This is an original, rolled, Japanese B2 movie poster from 1988 for Empire of the Sun starring Christian Bale, John Malkovich, Miranda Richardson and Joe Pantoliano. Steven Spielberg directed the film based on the novel by J.G. Ballard. John Alvin created the artwork for the poster.
The poster measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" and is in very good condition with very minor edge wear and surface creasing from handling. It has never been folded.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1988 to promote the Japanese theatrical release of Empire of the Sun, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
