Star Wars (1977)

This is an original, Forty by Sixty theatrical movie poster from 1977 for Star Wars starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness, James Earl Jones, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker. George Lucas directed the film. Tom Jung is the artist for the poster.

The poster measures 40” x 60” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display.  It was in very good to excellent condition prior to backing with only a few areas of very minor surface wear.  It has never been folded.

Forty by sixty posters were printed in extremely limited numbers. Unlike Star Wars Style A one-sheet posters with the same Tom Jung art (printed several times during the extended, initial theatrical run), Forty by Sixty posters were too expensive for most movie theaters to display in the 1970s. Only a few hundred of these posters were ever printed.

Please look closely at the photos as it shows the exact poster you are buying. They are not from a stock image. The black squares around the edges of the poster are magnets and not pins.
