This is an original, one-sheet movie poster from 1980 for The Empire Strikes Back starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, James Earl Jones, Kenny Baker, Peter Meyhew, Frank Oz and Alex Guinness. Irvin Kershner directed the Star Wars sequel.
Roger Kastel is the artist for the poster. The Style A poster has a "Gone with the Wind" motif and was recalled from theaters due to the omission of Billy Dee Williams (who was contractually guaranteed to be on promotional posters for the film).
The National Screen Service-issued poster measures 27” x 41” and is in very good to excellent condition with very minor creasing along parts of the outer edge from handling and storage. The poster was machine folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
