This is an original movie poster from 1965 for a German theatrical re-release of Ingmar Bergman's Sommarnattens Leende (released in the U.S. in 1957 as "Smiles of a Summer Night"). The film stars Ulla Jacobsson, Eva Dahlbeck, Harriet Andersson, Margit Carlquist, Gunnar Bjornstrand, Jarl Kulle, and Ake Fridell. Ingmar Bergman directed the Swedish comedy. Dorothea Fischer-Nosbisch is the artist for the poster.
The A1 movie poster measures 23” x 33” and is in very good condition with minor edge and gold wear. It was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
