This is an original, linen-backed, Australian daybill theatrical movie poster from 1953 for The Robe starring Richard Burton, Jean Simmons, Victor Mature, Michael Rennie, Jay Robinson, Dean Jagger, and Richard Boone. Henry Koster directed the Roman epic based on the novel by Lloyd C. Douglas.
The poster measures 13.5" x 30.25" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to restoration with tiny pinholes in the corners from theatrical display and minor fold wear. The folds are less prominent after restoration. The poster is now in very good to excellent condition.
